I'm flying the coop again.
Heading back to San Francisco for a few months & hopefully off to Australia for a few weeks. I'm going to try to blog about it. I promise to work on my formatting and post more pictures.

i am the worst blogger ever. my formatting is still crap

so i never made it to the goat farm. i never started blogging like i said i was going to. but i dont feel bad because i have been having a heck of a great time. everyday something exciting has happened. here is the rundown, if you want more details, let me know: thurs sept 6: leave fort wayne with sandy & courtney 11am fri sept 7: great drive through scenic america/arrive in bakersfield! sat sept 8: head out to oceanside, for 1st time in 7 years sun sept 9: dim sum breakfast/chinatown hangs with dana/HOT CHIP with AJ & scott mon sept 10: relaxing on Venice beach tues sept 11: drive through the most beautiful place on earth to see THE FLAMING LIPS wed sept 12: arrive in monterey, greeted by the friendliest people in the world thur sept 13: whale watching/ went out for drinks with the dreamiest welshman alive fri sept 14: met the goat farmer/ no goats for kelly/ miss bus to san fran/ stay on mansion on pebble beach randomly sat sept 15: hang out with j.c. lark sun sept 16: get hired at pacific tradewinds/explore chinatown mon sept 17: start at pacific tradewinds hostel tues sept 18: walked around the mission district wed sept 19: rock paper scissors pub crawl thurs sept 20: stumbled upon "the internship" movie set/cooked family dinner at the hostel fri sept 21: drinks with the irish sat sept 22: animal collective in oakland! sun sept 23: Folsom street fair mon sept 24: SFMoMA tues sept 25: drinking saki like a bird with cousin lanah/write this blog while chatting with Glyn (yo.) pictures!!!

bow wizzers

hello there. i have been having the BEST time out here so far. i cant even believe it. im not on the goat farm yet, hopefully leaving tonight. im sitting at a pretty hip coffee shop in Monterey, CA looking at a dog with dreadlocks & doing some last minute computer work before I go off the grid for 6 weeks. who knows what the future has in store?? here are some pictures of things i did my first day out in CA. sorry this post is quick and boring!

WELL WELL WELL. WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? A BLOG POST?? A BLOG POST. 17 MONTHS AFTER MY LAST BLOG POST. better late than never! Well I am currently riding on a train down from Los Angeles to Oceanside, California. I am out west for about 7 weeks and decided I should blog about it. What am I doing out west? Well I am here to gain clarity and peace. I was filled with anger, heartache and confusion back home & an opportunity arose for me to take some time off work. So like any reasonable woman, I decided to go heard goats in the Big Sur Mountains. So get ready for something. I'm not sure what yet, but I am sure it will be entertaining!

mercury in retrograde?

the sun is shining, the weather is warm. candy is going to fall out of the sky.

here is my sad update.
shit was bananas last month. mercury was apparently in retrograde & i felt it's effects.
+ i booked a great band, dale earnhardt jr. jr. to play at a local music venue in Fort Wayne. it was a snowball effect & i learned a lot about promotions, which was cool, but they had A LOT of people i had to coordinate with. all in all the show was amazing & i made a flyer for the event.

i painted it all myself, because i have zero graphic design skills. it was such a joy to paint again, i do not get to do it nearly enough!

+ on the day of the show, when i was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. my beloved cat looks ill & i have to take her to the vet. the vet says she is sick, but they need to do surgery & she will be fine. whatta bummer, but at least she will make it. i am at the venue, trying to get things together & i get a call from the vet saying she is dying of kidney failure & i have to put her down in the morning. WORST DAY EVER.

+ the show was a success! i went to bed at 3am & had to be at work at 5am the next day.it was my last day of work, as the program i was working for closed due to funding issues. :(

+ after my shift i had to go put my cat to sleep. it was a very stressful weekend.

the dog days.

Listening to "The dog days are over" by Florence and the Machine. 6 months after everyone has told me to listen to them. Thinking about life as always. I cant help but feel my dog days are beginning! I dont know why i am so resistant to the everyday life. I always have been. Floating around working random jobs because I find them to be interesting. Made for some interesting life experiences for sure, but now I am looking for stability. I'm also looking for an apartment where I can have a table! Currently looking for a job that will allow me to get $paid$. I found work at an independent living facility for troubled teenage girls with/without children. I like working there for the most part, but the pay is shit (relatively speaking)& sometimes i have to work weekends and 12 hour shifts.
I am going to sell my soul and find a job where I dont have to deal with drama/real life and make enough money to actually save for something, like chairs for my table in my apartment!

I'm all jazzed up on coffee. And getting distracted from reformatting my resume. yuck.
